The Visual Arts Center overlooks beautiful Lake Jackson in Downtown Sebring, Florida. With large windows giving fabulous light, the Visual Arts Center is ideal for the many classes and workshops that are held at Highlands Art League. One of four buildings that house HAL's activities, the Center is alive with artists through out the year.

Classes for Adults

Pottery - 8 week course with teacher Darian Dumont covers the basics of hand-building (pinch, slab and coil) and glazing.  $120 for the course.  Begins Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Class is held from 6-8pm in the Visual Arts Center.







Art Uncorked- This is our wildly popular new concept for those who want to follow along with the teacher and complete a painting or other project in one evening. It is a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and wine and snacks will be offered. More than 1000 paintings have been completed, taught by artists Alice Hansen, Megan Ekenstedt, Kristy Harris and Sally Lemke. The cost of each class is $35 and all supplies are included. Make this a fun night out with friends and fellow HAL members!   Portraiture & Still Life with Shirley Stone.  A  Thursday morning class (9:00 am – 12 noon )  for adults covers  beginning instruction  with direction in how to draw with graphite art pencils and understanding value in still life and portraiture and will carry the student through beginning and intermediate painting of still life and portrait subjects in oils.  The class is structured to each student's ability and progression. The class fee is $20.00 per three hour session and is not restricted to a 6 or 10 week schedule.  Call 863-385-5312 to register.
