Maria Lorant

Maria Lorant of Lake Placid, Florida, was HAL's Artist of the Month for July, 2011,  at the Yellow House Gallery and Gift Shop in the Artist Village.  Ms. Lorant's media is parchment craft, a very old art that uses perforation, embossing, and a variety of cutting techniques along with color and painted highlights to produce a three dimensional look of fine lace and embroidery.  Her displayed works include framed pieces, sculpture, and notecards.  

Ms. Lorant has agreed to teach a workshop at our Visual Arts Center, time and dates to be announced.  All materials and tools will be provided.  Please contact Highlands Art League at 863-385-6682 to sign up.
