Pottery with Darian Dumont
Art League Pottery Program *
* Reunion series for prior Students of our
Class Dates: Tuesdays July 23, July 30,
August 6, August 13, August 20 and August 27, 2024
Class Time: 6 - 8pm
Class Cost: $150 (regular price $175)
Includes use of all materials and equipment in our pottery studio.
You will start with 6 lbs of clay. Additional clay can be purchased at $2.00 per lb.
If you are a prior student of Darian Dumont's Art League Pottery series, you are invited to the first Reunion of Potters’s class.
It begins on July 23, 2024 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue on the following dates: July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20 and ending on August 27th.

We all learn from each other. What better way to expand our community than to come together and share collective knowledge?

Share your skills, refresh your practices, or perfect a new technique and be exposed to new methods and ideas from fellow artists.

The studio has expanded: more wheels, glazes, and ideas! Come relax in our creative atmosphere and tranquil setting on Lake Jackson. Be indulged in the artistic focus of a busy studio and feel the stress fall away as you work among friends.

This Reunion of Potters is offered with a loyalty discount of $25.00. Total cost for 6 weeks is $150.00. You will receive a starter slab of clay and may purchase more clay if needed. All studio equipment and tools are available for use, including an extruder, slab roller and numerous types of throwing wheels. Brushes, clay tools and glazes are also supplied. We require any personal glazes be in their original containers for proper firing information (cone 5 or 6).

Extra studio time is offered to members of the Highlands Art League on Mondays from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. See MEMBERSHIP button below.

Please bring a new favorite piece you have worked on to share your journey of how you designed and constructed your piece, how you selected and applied glazes, what you love about your piece and what you learned from it. We hope to make this the first of many Reunion of Potters to build our community of artists and friends, to share creativity and knowledge.
Students are requested to bring the following to the first class:

Classes are held at the Sebring Art Center - 1985 Lakeview Drive, Sebring FL 33870. Please enter the Art League Pottery section of the building,
using the white door to the far right.
After completion of this course, check our web site frequently for newly released classes.
Additional Art League Pottery Studio time is complimentary with a HAL Membership. Our Master Potter Darian oversees open studio time for students currently in one of her classes, on Mondays from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Starting July 1, 2024 our pro-rated individual 2024 dues is $35 (regularly $60). Please click on the MEMBERSHIP button to join.
Darian Dumont Bio
​
Instructor Darian Dumont brings over 30 years of experience to HAL’s pottery program. After earning a BFA in Art from William Woods University and later a BA in Psychology, Dumont honed her technical skills as a production potter at several pottery studios in the United States. She is experienced in both hand-building and throwing pottery on the wheel.
Darian Dumont has taught art and pottery in the public school system starting in the 1990’s and continues to teach her craft to adults and children at the Sebring Art Center for the Highlands Art League.
